PB Leiner

This position will provide leadership in the QC laboratory and conduct projects as requested by Quality Management and perform all laboratory testing as required.

Key Results Areas

  • Perform orientation, qualification, new equipment, and new process training for laboratory personnel.
  • Conduct projects requested by Department Management.
  • Assist techs perform laboratory testing as necessary.
  • Develop, document and maintain procedures as related but not limited to ISO laboratory procedures, GLP, QC, QA, Chemical, Physical and Microbiological Assay procedures.
  • Participate in the audit process for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, GMP and GLP.
  • Perform complex chemical, physical, and microbiological tests on raw materials, in-process and finished product.
  • Fill in for laboratory technician absence.
  • Complete and record required analytical data and update reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Help troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain calibration status of laboratory equipment by assigning calibrations to laboratory technicians as appropriate. Perform complex or new calibrations.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies by rotating stock and ordering items.
  • Maintain laboratory items in relevant databases. Ensure all paperwork is reviewed and completed to good documentation standards.
  • Process and test raw material samples.
  • Perform Environmental Monitoring Sampling
  • Manage and maintain samples for 3rd party testing
  • Actively participate in plant activities including, but not limited to Safety Committee, Root Cause Problem Solving, KPI communication and investigation.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Perfil

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science Field with 1-3 years experience.
